Great Brexpectations by T Wyld

This is a collection of poetry in two very different parts. Part one takes the reader on a journey back through the tumultuous times of the first stage of Brexit, during an eighteen month period of rollercoaster politics when nothing could be taken for granted any more.
The second part of the anthology opens up to a wider variety of themes including offerings from other poets reflecting many different styles and moods.
Both parts of this anthology, however, have the same underlying message about the high expectations most of us have for our country, our family and ourselves, often at the expense of other countries, families and other people. Unfortunately, this weakness is part of the human condition: we want it all our very own way.
As usual, the author manages to gently cock a snook at society's rituals, beliefs and even language, and seems to be saying that we all take ourselves so bloody seriously....
