What We Do
Founded in 2020, Qilin Time for Charity has been working hard with the help of our members and volunteers to produce books, primarily of poetry, to raise funds for various charities. Our work is dedicated to funding and we strive to inspire and improve the lives of those who need assistance. Get in touch to learn how you can make a difference at QT4Charity.
Our Causes
It starts with the will to make a difference
Over the years we have published poetry books for fun and tried to raise money and awareness for a variety of causes. But in 2020, during the global pandemic and our own isolation and reflection, we took the decision to start up Qilin Time for Charity and set ourselves the challenge of publishing one book per year. We are always open to suggestions as to causes and charities to support.
Fifty, Grey with Shades!
A book of humorous poems about mid-life crisis man.
After the tragic passing of our Malamute, a beautiful sable grey dog, we decided for our first fundraising book to dedicate all proceeds to the Alaskan Malalmute Rescue UK.

Mid life crisis, Part 2.
This book was to raise awareness of the plight of a famous landmark in Perranporth, Cornwall which was about to be dismantled by the local council. Although we did not succeed in our mission, we managed to bring to the forefront a discussion about the importance of preserving this famous landmark. It was constructed by Mr Tamblyn, back in the 1930's, who was one of the pioneers of surfing in the UK when they used coffin lids for surfboards!
Faith, Hope and Clarity
The Samaritans has been an indispensable but underfunded service for decades, provided by this wonderful organisation which any of us might need at some point in our lives. Furthermore, they are there for us all 24/7. Who amongst us has never suffered from mental health issues at some stage in our complex and so precious lives? This book explores aspects of religion and philosophy.
The Covid Collection
Our first collaborative book which raised more than £1500 for our beloved NHS.
'The Covid Collection' book contains tales, pictures and poems from the experiences of our volunteers and contributors during the dreadful global pandemic.

The mission of QT4Charity is to raise money for worthy charities, to encourage people to work together and share ideas, and to promote the art of poetry which seems to be slowly dying.
